Mentor’s visual storytellers worked closely with the team at Wales & West Utilities to help them develop a bespoke and memorable campaign, taking the form of three eye-catching animations responsible for raising awareness of the dangers of carbon monoxide.

Our creative team gave the series of three videos an exciting new identity using a vibrant comic book style which appealed to viewers of all ages, particularly younger, harder to reach audiences.

It was important for us to hook the viewer in using this vibrant pop art style, but also to drive the videos forward with momentum and dynamic music. The messaging to communicate was potentially lifesaving, so it was vital for us to keep the viewer engaged throughout. Below are the scenarios covered by the series.

‘Mend it Mews’ – The risks of attempting to fix boilers and other gas appliances yourself.

‘Risky Road’ - The consequences of ignoring the carbon monoxide alarm.

‘Gastonbury’ - The incorrect use of BBQ's during the Summer festival period.

The series gained over 300k views on Facebook.
