From platform upgrades and major rebuilds to new feature innovation and deepened client partnerships, this year has showcased the very best of our team’s talent, resilience, and dedication. We’re incredibly proud of the long-term clients who continue to trust us as their digital partner, and equally proud of the people within Mentor who go above and beyond to deliver outstanding work, time and time again.

Platform upgrades & rebuilds

A major focus this year has been ensuring our clients’ digital platforms remain secure, stable, and aligned with long-term support roadmaps. We completed multiple full Umbraco 13 rebuilds, giving organisations a future-proof foundation and modern technical architecture.

In addition to full rebuilds, we delivered comprehensive Umbraco 13 redesigns, revitalising user experience and bringing older platforms up to current visual and technical standards.

One of the standout achievements was a complex Umbraco 10–13 upgrade delivered ahead of schedule, demonstrating the efficiency and precision of our development team.

Content migration & automation

Our commitment to reducing risk and improving delivery efficiency continued with major advancements in automated content migration. We further enhanced our in-house migration tools, improving speed, accuracy, and reliability, significantly reducing manual effort for even the most content-heavy platforms. These tools played a pivotal role in supporting large-scale migration phases, which we delivered as part of broader redesign and rebuild programmes.

SEO & performance enhancements

Our continued emphasis on performance and visibility led to several SEO-led implementations. Each solution was architected from the ground up with best practice SEO structure, technical integrity, and long-term organic growth in mind. Throughout the year, our teams collaborated across digital marketing, development, and client services to deliver ongoing optimisation, monitoring, and incremental improvements, ensuring consistent results and measurable gains.

Multi-lingual & editorial improvements

This year also saw the evolution of our multi-lingual capabilities within the CMS. We developed a powerful new multi-lingual content management solution, making it easier for editors to manage and publish translated content. A key part of this was creating a much smoother split-view editing experience, enabling teams to manage languages side by side without complexity. We also invested in a reusable multilingual framework that can now be brought into future projects where multi-language support is needed.

Design, UX & component development

Innovation in design and user experience remained at the heart of many of our projects. We delivered several future-focused design and animation updates, injecting energy and clarity into key digital journeys. A number of platforms benefited from fully refreshed homepage experiences, built to increase engagement and improve content discoverability.

Infrastructure & architecture

Behind the scenes, we continued strengthening the technical foundations of client platforms. This included Azure rationalisation projects, ensuring systems are optimised for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability. We also delivered robust integrations with third-party CRM platforms, enabling richer, more connected digital ecosystems. One of our internal milestones was the successful launch of a Headless Umbraco 13 Cloud implementation, showcasing our continued investment in modern architecture.

E-Learning & platform feature development

Our bespoke e-learning platforms also saw major feature releases this year. We introduced new tools to improve user engagement insights, giving organisations better visibility into how learning content is used. We expanded access management with features that allow platforms to open or restrict courses to non-members and enable mixed-access courses for invited groups. In addition, we launched multi-agency organisation functionality, supporting grouped access for professionals from sectors such as social care, health, and policing.

Delivery excellence

Across the board, our teams demonstrated exceptional delivery discipline and collaboration. In one project alone, we completed over 50 developer days of extra work without extending the deadline, all while maintaining quality and pace. Multiple programmes were delivered on time and on budget, even when additional enhancements were introduced during the build, reflecting the adaptability and commitment of the whole team.

Launching CRM

Another major milestone for 2025 was the introduction of Dynamics CRM as a service here at Mentor. This new offering enables clients to benefit from a fully managed, scalable CRM solution. Our team now supports clients end-to-end, from configuration and integrations to ongoing optimisation, ensuring their Dynamics CRM evolves with their organisation.

This service has already proven invaluable for clients seeking to streamline user management, improve data capture, strengthen engagement, and unify digital journeys across web and CRM platforms.

The launch of the CILA CRM has been a huge success for Mentor and the stepping stone into a long-term partnership.
