The European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning (EQF) is a reference framework that allows learners and employers to understand how qualifications from different countries compare to each other. It will help to develop a Europe-wide workforce that is mobile and flexible, and help learners and workers who are moving between countries, from job to job and from one education or training institution to another.
Ofqual came to Mentor and asked us to create a new video to communicate the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) to examining bodies and educational teams across the UK and Ireland. Mentor storyboarded and scripted the video, before filming interviews and collating footage for the final presentation. Our animated approach was designed to communicate the benefits of the EQF for migrant workers and employers alike.
Our video crew visited a catering college and led interviews with two chefs who would be affected by the EQF. We also visited McDonalds headquarters where we interviewed a senior HR manager about the benefits of the EQF system. Ofqual were really pleased with the final video and felt we met the challenge of communicating their message succinctly to a varied audience.
