Mentor Digital was over the moon to be appointed as the digital agency to design the new Guinness World Records website, and records applications process.
Our senior team initially led discovery sessions before producing first round wireframes and interactive clickable prototypes. We then carried out eye tracking and mobile UX testing on site at the Guinness World Records head office in central London. We tested the record applications process with a range of contributors including serial record breakers who use the applications process regularly.
Following the UX phase the Mentor team was briefed to develop the graphic designs and deliver the technical build of the new website. Guinness World Records has a vibrant exciting brand delivered through the Guinness World Records books, POS and product ranges, and our contract was to develop a web brand that reflects the quality of the overall brand.
The overall result is a website that meets our objectives of developing a site that is a go to lunch break website for entertainment for public visitors, that leads business users to contact the account management team, and that leads records applicants through the applications process in an intuitive and seamless way.
