CFMS are a company that offers high end simulation-based design to engineers to help improve products such as planes or cars and reduce the time taken to get these to market. CFMS had a brochure designed which gained positive peer feedback and they wanted to create an graphically animated trade show video which mimicked the look and feel of this brochure.
Mentor came up with three devices to use within the animation to help progress the narrative:
1) An animated swoosh of white light, formed from the swoosh of their logo and representing CFMS. The swoosh travels through the animation giving the impression of creating/brightening simulations, improving understanding and connecting individuals and companies
2) Drawn out ‘spokes/pointer lines’ - taken and expanded from the concepts in the brochure this not only allowed us to present text in a variety of ways, we also used the spokes to imply technical creation and connectivity
3) Light artefacts - again taken from the brochure designs, these will add depth and interest to areas where we have used flat jpegs of CFMS simulation models rather than original graphics and so were limited animation-wise
We also added 3D elements to really make the video stand out. CFMS were delighted with the video stating: "Mentor Digital delivered a high quality video on budget and on time, which has been extremely well received, meeting business and marketing objectives"
