This win is the 3rd large scale NHS website and CMS contract that Mentor has been awarded and this follows the successful delivery of large scale websites and CMS systems for University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust and Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.

Mentor’s senior team delivered a winning pitch and won the contract based on an exceptionally flexible CMS, and previous experience of delivering similar scale projects for other NHS Trusts. Mentor’s experience of working with Shaw Trust and BBC to deliver accessible content for disabled website users also helped Mentor Digital to secure the contract.

The CMS platform is an extended version of the award winning open source .Net platform, Umbraco, which is tried and tested across large organisations with many departments and content editors. Mentor Digital has extended this system to include video management, news & events management, secure document areas, discussion forums and drag and drop page creation systems amongst other custom additions.

Mentor Digital is a web design agency based in Bristol, offering enterprise level creative and technical solutions to clients across the UK including Wincanton, NHS and BBC.

Mentor Digital was responsible for the end to end production of the FTSE500 company’s website and the agency’s senior team led the planning process from scoping and site-mapping workshops, through to wire-framing and user-experience testing sessions. Clear and bright seasonal graphic designs were applied to the wireframes before an adapted open source .Net CMS system was put in place for Wincanton to manage the website content. The website makes use of modern interface techniques to deliver easy to browse news, search, events and video content.

The new Wincanton corporate website also includes the previously separate investor relations website. This site allows users to browse the corporate’s investment proposition, reports and presentation and FAQs, and allows investors to subscribe to alerts by email.

Tenpin is the second largest operator of tenpin bowling in the UK, with 38 retail/leisure sites spread across the country.
